Joe Shemesh

Producer and cinematographer Joe Shemesh is Stormfront Productions’ principal.

Over the past decade, Joe has worked on a variety of projects including nature and social based TV documentaries, as well as feature film and TVCs.

His screen credits include:

• The Oldest Living Tasmanian, The Huon Pine - DOP
• ABC TV - Aerial cinematography and second unit camera
• Stories from the Stone Age series, ABC TV - second unit camera
• Testing Taklo, SBS - second unit camera
• Devil Diary, Nine Network/Animal Planet
• The Living Eden’s, Tasmania Land of the Devils series, ABC/Kane USA

Together with a team of recognised industry professionals, Stormfront Productions has also completed numerous government and private sector commissions locally and interstate.

Living in Tasmania since 1994, Joe has experienced much of the island’s wonderful diversity and beauty, capturing hundreds of hours of footage from Tasmania’s highest mountains to the dreamlike carpet of green that is one of the world’s last spectacular temperate rainforests. From its wild river systems to the edge of the southern ocean and beyond. City-scapes, science and industry are currently being added to our stock.
